When we heard that the Met had made a huge trove of their images of art available to anyone for any purpose we immediately thought “we have to do something with that!” With the “soft” launch of our new In-Home experience Viewing Room by AERY we saw a great chance to use some of the Met’s content to show off how it works.
The Human Positioning System is a patented technological method of initiating location specific augmented reality. It combines the aspects and benefits of the three major augmented reality triggers. By using photographs or digital depictions of a particular location, HPS lets the user process a reference image, by orienting their device to the real world.
